PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving technology of a deck machine capable of reducing facility cost by sharply reducing total output capacity of an inverter disk group disposed in a deck machine group operated while establishing a specified using condition. SOLUTION: The deck machine group includes mooring winches (first deck machine) 1-3 and a stern lamp winch (second deck machine) 4 of which required driving horsepower is not lower than that of the mooring winches 1-3, and is operated while establishing the specified using condition. This driving method is used for driving the stern lamp winch 4 forming the deck machine group. Motors 8 and 9 each of which outputs horsepower not higher than the required driving horsepower of the mooring winches 1-3 are used, and the number of motors is set so that the total output is not lower than the required driving horsepower of the stern lamp winch 4. Additionally, it is driven using the inverter disk group B that comprises inverter disks 10 and 12 used for driving the mooring winches 1 and 3 and of which total output capacity is not lower than the output capacity required for driving the stern lamp winch 4.
