<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for allowing a recovered polyolefin resin from waste plastic to be recycled in the form of a regenerated pellet having mechanical properties similar to a virgin resin. <P>SOLUTION: With 100 parts by weight of a polyolefin resin selected and recovered from waste plastic are blended 3 to 50 parts by weight of an inorganic filler and/or 0.3 to 30 parts by weight of an elastomer to form this into a pellet. Preferably, the method for selecting and recovering the polyolefin resin uses a procedure of selecting a resin utilizing specific gravity difference at immersion in water. The inorganic filler is at least one from talc, calcium carbonate, a glass fiber, clay, kaolin, and mica. The elastomer is an ethylene-propylene elastomer or an ethylene-propylene-butadiene elastomer. The method for recycling a polyolefin resin allows a regenerated pellet to be produced rationally and easily using a multipurpose resin extruder, and is useful for recycle type utilization of plastic. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
