PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a push-button switch for emergency stop with high reliability capable of surely putting a switch part in an off-state even in case a push-button body is further pushed in from a foremost end position by abnormal external force. SOLUTION: When the push-button body 15 is in a state held at either an original position or the foremost end position, movement of the ring toward the side of the switch part 10 is restrained so as not to give any hindrance to a switching operation of the switch part by abutting part of a stopper ring 30 with a locking protrusion 3 fitted at one end side of a body case 1, and when the push-button body 15 is further pressed in from the foremost end position, the stopper ring 30 is pressed by the push-button body to once go over the locking protrusion 3 and be hindered from moving back, and the switch part 10 is held in an off-state by separating a movable contact point 26 and a fixed contact point 13, by abutting a conductive piece 25 equipped with the movable contact point 26 with the ring 30.
