PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent displacement of an image display part by taking weight balance when mounting a head mounted display device. SOLUTION: The head mounted display device comprises a rear arm 10 mounted on the rear head part of a user M and pressing the side head part with both the ends, speaker parts 15 and 16 provided on both the ends of the rear arm 10 and mounted on right and left ears, a front arm 20 continued to one end of the rear arm 10, and an image display part 30 supported on the front arm 20 and arranged forward of eyes E of the user M. A battery which is a weight on the rear arm 10 is provided so that a moment making a support point of the end of the rear arm 10 acting on the rear arm 10 is substantially equal to a moment on the end of the rear arm 10 acting on the image display part 30 and the front arm 20.
