PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pallet locking device of a forklift capable of preventing forgetting locking operation of a pallet and informing an operator of the occurrence of improper operation in a pallet locking device to improve safety and maintenance property. SOLUTION: This pallet locking device is provided with a lock bar 14 provided so as to move over a lock position and a release position, a driving means 16 for driving the lock bar 14, and a control means 30. The control means 30 controls the driving means in such a way that the pallet is automatically locked when a fork 6 inserted into the pallet 40 is lifted to a detection position where it is abutted on an upper part deck board 41 and locking is automatically released when the fork 6 is lowered to a rack detection position apart by predetermined distance or more from the upper deck board 41 of the pallet 40 put on a cargo loading base.
