The invention relates to an electronic component operated with surface acoustic waves, comprising an asymmetrical input and a preferably symmetrical output, a double mode surface acoustic wave (DMS) track that is provided with at least one terminal transformer and at least one coupling transformer, and a two-port resonator which is provided with at least two series transformers. Each coupling transformer of the DMS track is serially connected to one of the transformers of the two-port resonator. Interconnecting the tracks in the inventive manner especially allows the insertion loss to be kept low while achieving high suppression in the blocking zone of a bandpass filter, keeping the space requirement for the component structure low, and, optionally, at the same time creating the function of a balun in the filter.
