<p>An arrangement and a method of lifting off pieces of meat (28) from a transport device with hooks (2) mounted on a vertical rod (1), comprising a surface with inclined sides which have two sections, where the first section (19), which is configured with a symmetrical guide face with a longitudinal guide, is adapted to separate the pieces of meat into two groups by a horizontal movement of the vertical rod (1). The second section (20) is adapted to release the pieces of meat from the hooks by a vertical movement of the rod toward a recess (22) which is provided in the second section and has a geometry allowing the hooks (2) to pass through the recess. The invention avoids heavy working operations which slaughterhouse workers have had to perform when heavy pieces of meat were to be loosened from a transport device comprising a vertical rod with hooks. These lifting operations are eliminated by the invention, since the pieces of meat (28) are divided into two groups by the horizontal movement of the rod, whereby the hooks are automatically centered above the recess.</p> |
