APPARATUS FOR REMOTELY CONTROLLING REFERENCE CLOCK IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, AND METHOD THEREFOR

PURPOSE: An apparatus for remotely controlling a reference clock in a mobile communication system, and a method therefor are provided to set and remotely control priority of clock trigger sources providing clocks in a failure processing software block, and control a reference clock by changing priority of clock trigger sources if an error is generated in the reference clock. CONSTITUTION: A superior state processing block requests a change of priority between clock trigger sources to change a reference trigger source providing a reference clock by using a command UI(User Interface)(510). The superior state processing block transmits a control message including priority information between the clock trigger sources to an inferior failure processing block of a selected target system(520). The superior state processing block maintains a standby state until a CGBA(Clock Generation Board Assembly) transmits a response message corresponding to the control message through the inferior failure processing block(530). If the superior state processing block receives a message from the inferior failure processing block, it is confirmed whether the received message is a response message corresponding to the message requesting the change of priority between clock trigger sources(540). If so, a failure processing block confirms priority state information between the clock trigger sources set in the CGBA(550). If not, it is confirmed whether the received message is a TOD(Time Of Data) message including failure alarm related to time of the CGBA(570). If so, the inferior failure processing block confirms a message field of the TOD message for confirming detailed failure alarm information related to time of the CGBA(580).
