<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a concatenated copy system capable of performing printing for a print request having higher priority than the priority of a concatenated print operation in progress when the print request is received during the concatenated print operation, thus satisfying a requirement for maintaining user secrecy. <P>SOLUTION: The concatenated copy system includes a plurality of image forming devices each having a printer controller and being connected via a communication means for communicating image data and control information, and a concatenated print means for print outputting by transferring the stored data to a different second image forming device. When a print request of higher priority is received in either one of the image forming device while the concatenated print operation is being performed by both the first image forming device and the second image forming device, the print operation performed in the image forming device receiving this print request of higher priority is suspended, and then the printout based on the print request of higher priority is started. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
