<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for packing catalyst into a reactor capable of easily and efficiently packing within a short period of time even in case that the space or duct to be packed with catalyst in the reactor has a complicated shape. <P>SOLUTION: Among at least ≥2 of openings for packing catalyst/suction open to the space for packing catalyst, the one opening is connected to a suction apparatus, the other one is connected to a catalyst introducing pipe, and the other openings unconnected to the suction apparatus and the catalyst introducing pipe are blocked.
