<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system equipped with a heat exchanger which reduces stress generated therein at start-up. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system comprises a high temperature fluid supply source (3) supplying a high temperature fluid containing fuel or air, a heat exchanger (30) having a flow path through which the high temperature fluid flows, a high temperature fluid flow path (11) making the high temperature fluid flow into the heat exchanger (30), and means (7, 12, 50) introducing the fuel or the air into the high temperature fluid flow path (11). A combustion catalyst (40) combusting the fuel is arranged at a downstream part (16) of the high temperature fluid flow path (33) in the heat exchange device to level the temperature in the heat exchanger. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
