<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid crystal element using a lens, wherein optical position with respect to another optical members is easily adjusted. <P>SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal element, a liquid crystal layer 1 is held between a pair of transparent substrates 5a and 6, a pair of electrodes for applying voltage to the liquid crystal layer 1 are formed on the surfaces on the liquid crystal layer side of a pair of the transparent substrates 5a and 6, one and the other electrodes are specified to be a transparent electrode 3 and a reflection electrode 4, respectively, and the lens 2a is formed on the surface of the transparent substrate 5a on the side opposite to the liquid crystal layer 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
