<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a track ball device capable of grasping the moving state of an instructing point as a touch, and smoothly operating this equipment without gazing at a display screen. <P>SOLUTION: This track ball device is provided with rollers 6 and 7 to be driven by driving sources 9 and 10, a transmitting mechanism 11 for transmitting the driving forces of the driving sources 9 and 10 to the rollers 6 and 7, a rotary moving table 24 for rotationally moving the rollers 6 and 7 with an axis orthogonal to rotary shafts 6a and 7a as a center when the rollers 6 and 7 are reversely rotated, and a driving control part 25 for rotating the rollers 6 and 7 to the same direction when the rotary shafts of the rollers 6 and 7 are in parallel with the rotary shaft of the track ball 3 to transmit a driving force to the track ball 3, and for reversely rotating the rollers 6 and 7 in the other case to rotationally move the rollers 6 and 7 to a position where those rotary shafts are made in parallel, and for rotating the rollers 6 and 7 to the same direction to transmit the driving force. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
