CHIP-TYPE ELECTRONIC COMPONENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip-type electronic component which may be used as a means for electrostatic discharge to obtain a sufficient maximum energy without increase in electrostatic capacitance if an operation voltage is lowered.

SOLUTION: Both ends of one internal conductor 7 isolated are exposed at the end surfaces opposed to each other of a base material 5, both ends of another internal conductor 8 isolated are also exposed at the end surfaces opposed to each other of the base material 5, and an external electrode connected to both ends of internal conductor 7 is formed over the surface of the base material 5 in separation from an external electrode connected to both ends of the internal conductor 8 which is also formed over the surface thereof.
