PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Internet facsimile machine capable of reducing a transmitting cost by preferentially executing an IFAX mode to the opposite party to which an image can be transmitted in the IFAX mode, that is, the opposite party with a registered communication address. SOLUTION: This Internet facsimile machine comprises a means T for associating the facsimile number of the opposite party with the communication address of the opposite party and registering the facsimile number and the communication address, and a control means 1 for determining the existence/absence of the communication address of an opposite party corresponding to an opposite party to which an image should be transmitted in the registering means T when one between a G3 mode and the IFAX mode is selected and the opposite party is designated and for performing the IFAX mode if there is a corresponding communication address of the opposite party.
