PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio amplifier by which the entire gain of an audio amplifier is set at the moment a user sets a desired gain. SOLUTION: An actual first gain determination part 48 detects capacity of voltage to be supplied by a variable output voltage power supply 2 and a D/A conversion part 1 calculates size of the gain to be actually generated depending on the capacity of the voltage. A differential part 50 calculates difference between set gain of the D/A conversion part 1 determined by first and second gain determination parts 43 and the gain calculated by the actual first gain determination part 48 based on user's setting. A second gain determination part 51 calculates a gain of DSP3 by adding the difference between the gains to the gain of the DSP 3 determined by first and second gain determination parts 43.
