PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nickel-hydrogen storage battery that has an excellent low temperature property while securing an excellent high temperature property and is capable of being applied over a wide temperature range. SOLUTION: The nickel-hydrogen storage battery is made by housing in a container 10 a positive electrode 22 containing nickel hydroxide and at least one kind of compounds selected from among a group of a niobium compound, a tungsten compound, and a tantalum compound; a negative electrode 24 being arranged to face to the positive electrode 22 via a separator 26 and containing a hydrogen storing alloy; and an alkali electrolytic solution.
