PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide information useful for users during information retrieval. SOLUTION: The information retrieval system (101) comprises a keyword acquisition part (11) which acquires a retrieval keyword specifying document retrieval requirements; a document retrieval part (12) which retrieves a given group of documents for documents containing the retrieval keyword; an attribute designating part (13) which designates the attribute of information to be extracted from the documents retrieved; an information extracting part (14) which extracts information corresponding to the attribute from the documents; an information comparing part (15) which compares the extracted information with the retrieval keyword to select information not corresponding to the retrieval keyword; and an information output part (16) which outputs the information selected by the information comparing part.
