COMPUTER SYSTEM FOR EFFICIENTLY PROCESSING STREAMING DATA, DATA PROCESSING METHOD, AND COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM

PURPOSE: A computer system for efficiently processing streaming data, a data processing method, and a computer-readable recording medium are provided to manage the streaming data of a large capacity more efficiently in a computer system by using a cache memory having a locking feature. CONSTITUTION: A processor(102) is connected to the cache(104) and the cache is connected to a bus controller(106). A system bus is connected to the bus controller and a system memory(110). The cache includes multiple cache sets(A-H). The processor issues a data request. The data request is transferred to the cache controller through a connector(118). In case that the data is previously present in the cache, the data is entered to the processor. In the case that the data is missed in the cache, a cache controller(111) issues the data request to the bus controller by determining the cache set to store the requested data. The processor knows which cache lines are locked. The cache sequentially transfers three requests to the bus controller through the connector(120). The bus controller transfers the data request to the system bus through the connector(122).
