<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue communication by a simple procedure and without great reduction of a communication rate even if a communication circuit is partly interrupted, in a radio communication system which has a master station and a plurality of slave stations and in which the master station itinerates and performs radio communication of a polling system to the slave stations. <P>SOLUTION: A master station 60 and a first slave station 61 perform direct communication at the time of first itinerant communication, performs communication through a second slave station 62 at the time of second itinerant communication, and performs communication through a third slave station 63 at the time of third itinerant communication.
