PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation system capable of avoiding twice the labor for editing address information, etc. held by external equipment for an image formation device, reducing memory use quantity, information acquisition time in the image formation device, for enabling a user to appropriately retrieve, browse, correct, change, delete and generate information and constructing environment with high versatility/compatibility. SOLUTION: In the image formation system, an MFP (multi-functions printer) 100 acquires the address information, etc. from the external equipment 1, 2, 3 via a network 60 according to a user's request. The acquired information is stored in a memory 29 and displayed on a display part 40. The user can change, delete and add the information by an operation part 30, etc. and its result is automatically reflected on the external equipment 1, 2, 3. The MFP 100 becomes a client of the external equipment 3 storing a directory server. When deficiency arises by information in the MFP 100 to a request from the external equipment 2, the information is acquired from the external equipment 3 and passed to the external equipment 2.
