<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a touch panel minimized in the generation of Newton ring. <P>SOLUTION: In this touch panel, a pair of upper and lower substrates 1 and 11 having transparent electrodes 3 and 13 and leading electrodes 4, 5 and 15 provided on one side of transparent insulating substrates 2 and 12 are arranged opposite to each other, the peripheries of the substrates 1 and 11 are sealed with sealants, and gas is injected through an opening to curve the upper substrate.
