PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and surely prevent a principal component of a thermosetting adhesive from flowing into a lens part or a positioning part, etc., as for a lens unit constituted by sticking an optical lens to a lens holding member. SOLUTION: As for the lens unit constituted by sticking the optical lens to the lens holding member with the single pack thermosetting adhesive, a recessed part for storing a mount part having the reference surface of the optical lens is formed in the lens holding member, and also, a holding member side reference surface with which the reference surface of the mount part is brought into contact is formed on the bottom surface side of the recessed part, and the lens is stuck to the holding member by applying the thermosetting adhesive from the opposite side face of the reference surface of the mount part of the optical lens to the wall surface of the recessed part, and a gap size between the wall surface of the recessed part and the side face of the mount part is formed so that the principal component and setting agent of the thermosetting adhesive may flow while not separating from each other.
