PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laying method, facilitating laying in a curved area in an object construction surface and securing the strength by stacking two mats in the curved area. SOLUTION: According to this laying method, a rectangular ground fabric mat 1 and a stone joining mat M formed by fitting a number of stones 2 to the ground fabric mat 1 are laid with a curved surface on an object construction surface. A first stone joining mat from which stones 2 only in an area to overlap a stone joining mat to be arranged later are removed is laid, and subsequently a second stone joining mat from which stones 2 only in an area to overlap a stone joining mat to be arranged later are removed are placed on the first stone joining mat to partially overlap and keep at an angle.
