APPARATUS FOR RESETTING BASE STATION NUMBER IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An apparatus for resetting a base station number in a mobile communication system, and a method thereof are provided to reset PLD in a mobile communication system without stopping a service of the mobile communication service if ID update of a base station is requested. CONSTITUTION: A URM(UMTS Radio Manager) generates PLD(Processor Loading Data)(400). The URM converts the PLD into an ESF(Extension Specification File) form to transmit the ESF to an RNC(Radio Network Controller) managing a base station requiring update of the PLD(402). The target RNC judges the receipt of the ESF to transmit a result of the judgement to the URM(404). The URM converts the PLD into an ESF form to transmit the ESF to the destination base station(406). The destination base station judges the receipt of the ESF to transmit a result of the judgement to the URM(408). The URM converts the PLD into an ESF form to transmit the ESF to a neighbor RNC(410). The neighbor RNC judges the receipt of the ESF to transmit a result of the judgement to the URM(412).
