PURPOSE: A safety device of a control lever for the heavy equipment is provided to prevent wrong operation of the heavy equipment in operating or touching the control lever by automatically shutting off the electric signal connected to the control lever with the safety lever in tilting the console box downward for getting off. CONSTITUTION: A safety device of a control lever(11) comprises a console box(12) tilted and installed at the side of a driver's seat(10) and composed of the control lever, a safety lever(13) tilted and fixed to a first support for fixing the console box, a console box tilting lever(14) fixed to the first support, an operation switch assembly connected to a joint fixed to the first support to horizontally support the safety lever and to shut off power of a first limit switch by tilting the safety lever in turning the console box tilting lever, and a latch assembly having a latch detachably combined with a second support(19) and shutting off power of a second limit switch by tilting the console box upward.
