<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a highly active catalyst, suitable for various types of reforming hydrocarbons (steam reforming, auto thermal reforming, partial oxidation reforming or carbon dioxide reforming) by using a noble metal component as an active component, and unevenly distributing the noble metal component on the surface of an inorganic oxide carrier. <P>SOLUTION: This hydrocarbon reforming catalyst is composed by carrying the noble metal component (b) on the inorganic oxide carrier (a). More than 30% (in terms of mole) of all of the carried noble metal component is made to exist within 0.15 mm from the carrier surface, and more than 70% (in terms of mole) of all of the carried noble metal component is made to exist within 0.3 mm from the carrier surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
