摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extremely highly accurately detect a position of the lower jaw to the upper jaw without forcing a patient to take an unnatural posture while letting the lower jaw move freely. <P>SOLUTION: This measuring instrument of jaw movement is disposed with a primary coil 6 rigidly connected to the teeth of either of the upper jaw or the lower jaw and a secondary coil 5 rigidly connected to the teeth of the opposite side jaw, which are separated some distance from each other. The primary coil 6 is provided with three sets of excitation coils 6a, 6b and 6c wound mutually in the orthogonal direction surrounding a specific 3D solid 7. The secondary coil 5 is provided with two sets or more sensor coils 5a, 5b and 5c wound mutually in the orthogonal direction surrounding the specific 3D solid 7. The respective excitation coils 6a, 6b and 6c of the primary coil 6 are connected to an AC power supply 3 and excited by ACs of respectively different frequencies. The measuring instrument calculates the AC induced to a plurality of sensor coils 5a, 5b and 5c by an arithmetic circuit 4 to detect the relative position of the lower jaw to the upper jaw. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p>
