<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grasp a position of freight accurately even when a driver leaves a vehicle by incorporating a GPS function in or adding it to a portable terminal unit from passing time information in which delivery tracking information of the freight passes a reception desk, a depot, and a center. <P>SOLUTION: This freight delivery tracking system provides freight status from preparation of a delivery slip for the freight to completion of delivery. This system is provided with an IC tag 2a storing ID about each of the freight electronically, a position detection device carried by a person in charge of delivery and utilizing GPS, the portable terminal unit 2c having an IC tag detection device and connectable with a network, a delivery tracking server 1a connected with the network to store status data about each of the freight, and a Web server 1b connected with the network.
