PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost digital camera which expedites its recovery after use. SOLUTION: The digital camera 100 includes a charge allowing circuit 131 for allowing a chargeable battery 130 to be charged to a charging circuit 200 only when an authentication is succeeded by authenticating the right of charging, by acquiring a password via a communicating unit 170 and a CPU 140, and comparing the password stored in a memory 133 for the chargeable battery with the acquired password.
