PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a round steel pipe column with a column superior in shape accuracy, improving the quality of a welding part, eliminating residual stress and having sufficient toughness, and a manufacturing method of the round steel pipe column with a column. SOLUTION: A semi-molding round steel pipe 6 is formed by joining the end of a semi-molding round steel pipe 1 having an outer diameter Dαlarger than a prescribed outer diameter D and either end of a trapezoidal cylindrical semi-molding round column 3 having outer diameters Dαand dαlarger than prescribed outer diameters D and d by welding 5. The semi-molding round steel pipe 6 with a column is heated, and is then hot-formed by a molding means 21 to obtain a round steel pipe column 7 with a column formed in the prescribed outer diameters D and d. The round steel pipe column with a column can improve shape accuracy; can improve the quality of the welding part; can provide high buckling strength without practically the residual stress; can improve secondary weldability and can have sufficient toughness without performing refining work by manual work requiring much labor and time by hot-forming the semi-molding round steel pipe with a column having low bending accuracy.
