PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant protective structure at an upper portion of a vehicle body, capable of being miniaturized while maintaining sufficient energy-absorbing performance, in a structure which stores an energy-absorbing object in a space formed between a panel and interior materials and absorbs impact energy at the time of the secondary collision. SOLUTION: A metallic extruded energy-absorbing object 20 is stored in a space S formed between the panel 13 equipped with two flange sections (13a and 13c) and an interior finishing material 14 covering the panel 13. The energy-absorbing object is arranged near the other flange section 13a of the panel 13 in the space S, and provided with a single hollow cross-section form 21 consisting of a closed section. The protrusion section T bent in a substantially doglegged shape and inwardly protruding is arranged on side attachment wall (wall surfaces 21c and 21d) of the hollow cross-section form 21 located on the opposite side of the other flange section 13a, and the protrusion section T is deformed so that it may close if the head section H of an occupant has a collision.
