METHOD FOR PREPARING SILK PEPTIDE WITH NERVE CELL PROTECTING ACTIVITY

PURPOSE: A method for preparing silk peptide with nerve cell protecting activity is provided, thereby improving the preparation efficiency of silk peptide, and preparing small molecular weight of silk peptide which can be easily absorbed into the human body. CONSTITUTION: The method for preparing silk peptide with nerve cell protecting activity, having the average molecular weight of 400 to 2,000 dalton comprises the steps of: (a) dissolving silk protein such as silk fibroin in a solution containing calcium salt at 60 to 95 deg. C; (b) removing the calcium salt such as calcium chloride from the silk fibroin solution; and (c) adding protein decomposing enzyme selected from thermoase, flavourzyme, sumizyme, protamex, protin and a combination thereof into the silk fibroin solution at 45 to 60 deg. C.
