PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently reproduce a photographic image at a preferable level by utilizing additional information of a plurality of photographic images. SOLUTION: Photographic images are read from a CD-R recording the plurality of photographic images, and additional information indicating a reproducing level such as the presence or absense of classification into folders or the presence or absence of a print history, which is attached to the photographic images is also read. If the photographic images are classified into folders, a display time of a half second for the photographic images of a folder B and a display time of not less than one second for the photographic images of a folder A are set and displayed on slides, respectively. Also, if the photographic images are not classified into folders, photographic images which have been printed and the photographic images which have not been printed are displayed on slides with display time of one second and a half second, respectively.
