PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relay preventing breakage of braided wires connecting between a movable terminal and a terminal part. SOLUTION: The movable terminal 40 is provided with a main part 40b formed in a strip with a conductive material, and a movable contact point 41 is firmly fixed to one end part in a length direction of a movable main part 40a contact with and separating from a fixed contact point. The movable contact point 41 is held by a main body in free swaying movement between a position in contact with the fixed contact point and that out of contact with it, as the movable terminal is driven by an electromagnet device in accordance with a current flowing through a coil. One end of the braided wire 42 made of a braided copper wire is welded to the other end part in the length direction of the main part 40a to which, a terminal plate 43 is connected through the braided wire 42. Further, a notched groove 40c is formed at the other end part of the main part 40a in the length direction by notching one side edge in a shorter width direction, and a braided wire holding piece 40b of nearly L shape, holding the braided wire through a part at the front side of the welded part of the braided wire 42, is formed by folding the notched part.
