PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an emulsion composition having excellent stability/usability by mixing one or two or more selected from alkyl-modified carboxyvinyl polymer, polyvinylpyrrolidone, liquid higher fatty acid and liquid higher alcohol with glycyrrhetinic acid or its derivative. SOLUTION: This emulsion composition contains one or two or more select from (A) an alkyl-modified carboxyvinyl polymer, (B) polyvinylpyrrolidone, and (C) a liquid higher fatty acid or a liquid higher alcohol, and further (D) glycyrrhetinic acid or its derivative, as essential components.
