PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a release agent for die-casting in which even in the case of using magnesium alloy containing rare earth elements or calcium, penetration to the die is hardly caused and it is no fear to give the adverse effect such as corrosion, to a cast product (a product made of the magnesium alloy). SOLUTION: Mica fine powder is dispersed in dilute aqueous solution and water-soluble emulsion with water glass added to the dispersion is used as the release agent for die-casting.
