PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bed apparatus which keeps a gas spring from hindering the taking of small articles or the like into or out of the housing part formed on a base body by rotatably lifting a bed board body. SOLUTION: The bed device includes a box-shaped base body 1 whose interior serves as the housing part 2, a link mechanism 4, a floor board body 3 and gas springs 22. The link mechanism has first and second links 7 and 9 and each one end part of the respective two links is pivoted separately on both internal surfaces at one longitudinal end part of the base body. In the floor board body, the other end parts of the respective first and second links are pivoted separately on both sides of the widthwise direction at one longitudinal end part thereof and the floor board body is made turnable to close the opening in the top surface of the base body, kept levelled almost horizontally. In the gas springs, one end and the other end of each thereof are turnably connected to one longitudinal end part of the floor board body and one longitudinal end part of the base body on both sides thereof, respectively, and the floor board body is energized by the energizing forces thereof in the direction of turning where the end thereof rises with one end part thereof as the fulcrum.
