A connector which enables use of an inexpensive electrical wire having no drain wire reduces the amount of labor needed to assemble it as also leads to an improvement in reliability. A first connector portion is attached to a control cable at a braided shield thereof. The cable is intended to be connected to a servomotor having a grounding portion. The first connector portion includes a connector member that contacts a connector crimp pin and it is also connected to the cable shield and to a board that serves as a grounding portion for the servomotor. The shield and the connector crimp pin are electrically connected to each other through the first connector portion.
