<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method capable of accurately deciding the representative position and representative color, etc., of an objective area in images, and to provide an image processor, an image processing program and a storage medium having the image processing program recorded thereon. <P>SOLUTION: In a representative position calculation part 11, the average value and variance value of the pixel values of a local area are obtained while moving the local area, and the representative position in the objective area is decided. For instance, in the case that the object area is a vacant area, a pixel position can be defined as the representative position where the B component of the pixel average value of the local area is maximum, the difference between the smaller component of RG components and the B component is equal to or greater than a prescribed value or more, and the variance value of the local area is sufficiently small. A representative color calculation part 12 calculates a pixel average (average value of a color) inside the local area by using the representative position decided by the representative position calculation part 11 and the local area having the representative position at the center, and defines the obtained average as the representative color of the object area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
