<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the aggregation of active material particles inside a binder and improve a cycle life property in a negative electrode for a lithium secondary battery having an active material layer including the active material particles containing silicon and/or silicon alloys and the binder. <P>SOLUTION: The negative electrode for the lithium secondary battery is characterized that the active material layer is formed on the surface of a current collector made of inductive metal foil by using slurry obtained by uniformly mixing the active material particles, the binder and a dispersant in a liquid solution, and the negative electrode is obtained by firing the active material layer under a non-oxidizing atmosphere, while disposing the active material layer on the surface of the current collector. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
