<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curable composition which is excellent in curability, can give a cured material having a high refractive index, and is useful particularly as a composition curable by actinic radiations. <P>SOLUTION: The curable composition contains a di(meth)acrylate represented by general formula (1) [wherein R<SP>1</SP>is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; R<SP>2</SP>is an alkylene group which may have a hydroxyl group; R<SP>3</SP>and R<SP>4</SP>are each -CH<SB>2</SB>C<SB>6</SB>H<SB>5</SB>, -CH(CH<SB>3</SB>)C<SB>6</SB>H<SB>5</SB>or -C(CH<SB>3</SB>)<SB>2</SB>C<SB>6</SB>H<SB>5</SB>; X is -CH<SB>2</SB>-, -C(CH<SB>3</SB>)<SB>2</SB>-, -S- or -SO<SB>2</SB>-; m and n are each an integer of 0 to 5, provided that m+n=(0 to 10); and p and q are each an integer of 0 to 2, provided that p+q=(1 to 4)]. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
