<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a directly-under type backlight in which degradation of luminance at the light-emitting face can be prevented while suppressing a lamp image. <P>SOLUTION: This is a directly-under type backlight 2 which has a light source 7 at the back of the diffusion plate 5. The diffusion plate 5 comprises a plate-shape diffusive substrate layer 51 which has light diffusiveness in itself, and a diffusion bead layer 54 which is formed on at least one of the face of the light incidence face 52 on the light source 7 side of the diffusive substrate layer 51 and the outgoing face 53 being the opposite face of the light incidence face 52. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
