<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing film which is not contracted to temperature changes but is improved in a problem such as frame-like leakage of light when used for a liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: This polarizing film is formed by sticking a protective film at least on one side of a polarizing film consisting of polyvinyl alcohol, and is characterized in that an azimuthal angle of 20° to 70° is formed between the absorbing axis of the polarizing film and the lagging axis of the protective film, and the thickness of the polarizing film is 5 μm or more and less than 20 μm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
