<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collector in which positive and negative charges are added to particles in air by an electrifying section comprising one electrode and the charge amount of the particles passing through an adsorbing section and emitted to the outside of the collector can be surely controlled. <P>SOLUTION: The potential of the electrifying section with respect to the potential of the adsorbing section is switched between positive and negative potentials at specified time intervals to electrify the particles in air passing through the electrifying section into positive or negative charges. When the absolute potentials of the positive potential and the negative potential are made equal by switching the potentials of the electrifying section at equal intervals, the particles in air have equal charge amount of positive and negative charges and are electrically easily neutralized even when the particles are passed through the adsorbing section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
