<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information distribution system capable of setting up distribution regions independent of the base station and providing information distribution services to the terminal devices belonging to the above regions. <P>SOLUTION: The information distribution system delivers distribution information containing region identification data indicating the regions to the terminal devices located in the prescribed regions. The information distribution system is equipped with a plurality of repeating devices which transfer the information sent from the upper-side devices adjacent to the repeating devices to the lower-side devices adjacent to the repeating devices, and the repeating devices are each equipped with a distribution region data storage storing distribution region data indicating distribution regions to the lower-side devices and a transfer control controlling the transfer of distribution information at the repeating device on the basis of the region identification data and the distribution region data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
