PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-pressure discharge lamp capable of improving a starting characteristic and a service life characteristic when the lamp is lit with a high frequency by using filament electrodes, and to provide a bulb type fluorescent lamp equipped with the discharge lamp. SOLUTION: A low-pressure discharge lamp FL1 comprises: a bulb 1 forming a discharge passage (space) 1D; a stem 4 having a pair of lead wires 2, 2 sealed to the end of the bulb 1; filament electrodes 3, 3 legs 32 of which are projected from the ends of the lead wires 2, 2 into the side of the discharge passage (space) 1D respectively, where the legs 32 are connected to the lead wires 2, 2 of the stem 4 and projected from the lead wires 2, 2 respectively; and a discharge medium enclosed in the bulb 1.
