PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a starter preventing an occupant from having discomfort due to noise generated from the inside without deteriorating performance of a starter motor. SOLUTION: A fixing component 101a is placed on a front case 101 for fixing a cover 12. The fixing component 101a is projectedly formed from the front case 101 to the outer circumference side. Further, in the case 101, a holding component 101b is provided adjacent to the fixing component 101a, for holding a magnet switch 3. A center case 102 is connected to a rear end of the front case 101 on one end side, and is connected to one end of a yoke 23 on the other end side. A rear case 106 is connected to the other end of the yoke 23 and a fixing component 106a is placed for fixing the cover 12.
