PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel capable of keeping a good waterproof property for a long period of time. SOLUTION: In the touch panel, formed by arranging an upper base plate 11 having atransparent electrode 13 and draw-around electrodes 14, 15 on a lower surface of a transparent insulation board 12; and a lower base plate 1 having a transparent electrode 3, draw-around electrodes 4, 5, and a plurality of dot spacers 8 formed on the transparent electrode 3 on an upper surface of a transparent insulation board 2; so as to face each other with a prescribed distance, and sealing an outer peripheral area of the upper and lower base plates 11, 1 by applying an insulating sealing member 47 in a manner of turning around them, and sealing an opening 47a formed on a part of the turned-around sealing member 47 by a sealing material 45, a flow blocking bank 46 is arranged on the inside of the opening 47a formed on the sealing member 47. The sealing material 45 applied to the opening 47a naturally flows down and is blocked by the flow blocking bank 46, and the flow spreads toward lateral sides and turns to a lower surface side of the sealing member 47 and adheres thereon.
