摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive which can perform adaptive control in consideration of a probability of bit error in a viterbi decoder and to provide an adaptive equivalent circuit. SOLUTION: An equivalent error signal Ero(T) between a bit string D(T) outputted from the viterbi decoder 18 and an equivalent signal Eq(T) is obtained. An equivalence error signal Er(T) is generated by attaching(amplifying) gain G (I (T)) based on the level of an ideal waveform I(T) outputted by an ideal waveform generator 151b to the equivalent error signal Ero(T). A tap modulus C(n, T) is obtained in an equalizer property calculation section 153 using this equation error signal Er(T), and is supplied to a FIR filter 17. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
